Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - No doubt it is freezing outside, but we're not the only ones who have to deal with Mother Nature. Animals do too.

Animals at the Chahinkapa Zoo in Wahpeton have to deal with these conditions. Zoo keepers say once in hits zero all animals have the option of getting indoors to warm up. But believe it or not, it doesn't bother them too much.

Tom Schmatlz – Chahinkapa Zoo: "When the first snow fall comes the tiger are more active, they play in the snow and stuff. It really doesn't seem to; I think it bothers us more than it bothers them."

Throughout the winter, the zoo keeps the animals busy with enrichment activities, hoping to keep their bodies and minds active.
