West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Not everyone had to fight the cold weather today. Some managed to bring "summer-time" back indoors.
If you're going to live in these parts, you might as well take winter by storm and turn it inside out. West Fargo did. Hosting a Polar Bear Pool Party compete with summer time beach music on a sub zero winter, school free day.
"Feels like summer."
"It is like freezing outside, and it is like summer in here mostly a lot."
And Shotwell's Tom Steele had the best job of all today. Working in a humid, warm greenhouse, watering geraniums and other seedlings that have promises of spring.
JD Shotwell/Shotwell Floral and Greenhouse: "Now is the when the fun starts, you start planting start seeing it grow and see the process as we get to spring"
A little reminder that even in the depths of an ice cold January day, there is hope for heat, and maybe a chance to say Spring can't be that far off.
There are 58-days to the first day of Spring.
