West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The F-M diversion has had opposition from north and south, tonight, West Fargo commissioners reviewed the diversions western alignment.
The commission went over pros and cons of the recently addressed alignment.
Commissioners didn't approve or oppose anything tonight, staying idle until later down the line.
A concern is special assessments. Officials want to make sure residents there don't have to pay the same
as homeowners in Fargo.
Jim Brownlee, West Fargo City Administrator, says, "west fargo already has paid for protection. It's protection against the Sheyenne River but our main threat is from the Sheyenne and there is a threat, a minor threat from the red especially in South Fargo but in my opinion it's fairly minor."
The alignment would give West Fargo room to expand to the North and West.
