Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Teamsters Club of Fargo has been playing Santa Claus in January, to a handful of local non-profits.

This is the last week for the Teamster's Club and Gaming Bar, and it decided to make several donations to area charities. Today, Make-A-Wish received a check for 25-thousand dollars from the Teamsters Club.

Make-A-Wish is the latest of several non-profits in town to receive thousands of dollars from the Teamsters over the last few days. And it comes at a time when wishes are increasing.

Dana Altendorf with Make-A-Wish says, "we are projecting we will do 37 this year, we did 34 last year, the number of children living with life threatening conditions in the state has increased from 40 to 49."

Teamsters has recently donated 25-thousand to Disabled American Veterans, and 10-thousand to the Emergency Food Pantry.
