Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- The Concordia men and women will get their shot at the best in the MIAC tomorrow when St. Thomas comes to town for a doubleheader.

The stakes are high for the Cobber women, with a win they'd grab a share of the conference lead with the Thommies.

Concordia played St. Thomas tough back in early December, losing by 12 on the road. But, since then they've won 8 of their last 9, and the only loss came in overtime against Hamline. The Cobbers think they are a much improved team.

Tricia Sorensen says, "We are playing really great team defense right now. We're starting to read each other, we kind of know what each other is thinking and getting those connections with passes."

Jessica Rahman, Concordia head coach, says, "If you come to a game you see a team that moves the ball extremely well and attacks the basket. Even on the defensive end, it's very much a team effort. It has been really fun to see that develop. As we look at the schedule, really and truthfully, this is the grinding part of the season as far as just grueling. We have game after game after game. So, we definitely take a look at taking it game at a time."
