(WDAY TV) -- Outside of conference unbeatens Weber State and Montana, the hottest team in the Big Sky comes from the coldest city in the Big Sky, Grand Forks.
Yes, UND has won three straight and with a 4-4 conference record sits 3rd in the standings. During that winning streak, they've beaten their opponents by an average of 13 points per game.
The latest victory was a 9-point win over Portland State on Saturday. Aaron Anderson and Troy Huff both scored 25 points, and UND didn't miss a free throw, hitting all 21 attempts, a new UND record. And with 4 of their next 6 on the road the team is catching fire at the right time.
Aaron Anderson says, "We're playing well as a team and we're trusting one another. I think with those two things, we don't feel like anybody can stop us right now."
Brian Jones, UND Head Coach, says, "Teams are banged up right now and it's going to be the teams that are able to get their roster back, and sustain that through this January, February stretch."
Jones is hoping that will be the case for his own team. UND's 3-game winning streak started when leading scorer Troy Huff was re-inserted into the starting lineup. He missed 7 games with a broken jaw.
