Bismarck, ND (WDAY TV) -- Nearly 100 people braved the extreme temperatures and biting wind chill to make an impassioned plea to North Dakota lawmakers.

They want legislators to leave current gun rights alone. It's part of the "Guns Across America" rally that's taking place across the nation.

The message they're trying to spread is: Gun owners are law-abiding citizens who want to protect themselves, their families and their property.

Rod Bosch of Mandan says, "I feel our freedoms are being trampled. I just think that the Second Amendment of the Constitution is being overlooked."

The issue is sure to be a hot topic tonight as Representative Kevin Cramer speaks to the Burleigh County "friends of the NRA."
