Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Fargo Teamsters Club is giving back one last time, after closing its doors for good.

Bar and gaming manager Kathy Sauvageau surprised the Disabled American Veterans with a 25-thousand dollar check today. The money is part of 71-thousand dollars worth of charitable gaming funds left over.

The group's national president shut it down in November, accusing people who run the club of mishandling money.

Kathy Sauvegeau, Teamsters Gaming Manager, says, "This is a huge hit for the community. It's a sad chapter, we were the last union bar in the United States. And it's a sad chapter, it's going to take a toll on this community."

Teamsters also gave 10-thousand dollars to the Emergency Food Pantry, and five-thousand to the Dorothy Day House and Special Olympics.
