(WDAY TV) -- Gus Bradley has been coaching for 23 years, but judging by the ear-to-ear smile on his face this afternoon, this had to be the happiest day in his coaching career.

Jaguars owner Shad Kahn along with the team G-M introduced the former Bison player and assistant as their new head coach today.

It's a 4-year deal for Bradley, 3 years guaranteed. While it's just the beginning for Bradley's Head Coaching career, it's the end of a circus week for Gus, who just 5 days ago was coaching the defense for Seattle in the NFC divisional round.

Bradley says, "It has been a whirlwind but it has been a really high energy. You can imagine playing in the game against Atlanta, to go through it and the unfortunate part of losing it at the last second. And then get on a plane and fly to Philly and then come down here, but it's been a great experience. I think what sold me on this opportunity was the passion. I'm a defensive coach, I have great passion, I have great excitement I'm trying to hold it back a little right here."

One other note on a former Bison defensive coordinator, Scottie Hazelton who left NDSU after the 2011-12 season to coach the linebackers at USC has left the Trojans to become the defensive coordinator at Nevada, that's according to CBS Sports.
