Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - When Gus Bradley arrived in Seattle four years ago, the Seahawks had the worst defense in the NFL. Today as he's leaving the Emerald City, they are ranked number one and that's the biggest reason why the former Bison player and coach is the new head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bradley was officially hired today. He becomes the 2nd former Bison coach to take over an NFL team joining Ron Erhardt, and the first former Bison player to reach the top of the football world.

Rocky Hager, NDSU All-Time Wins Leader: “It's hard to put into words the sense of pride and just really happy that someone you care about has done so well. He was always the guy, when he was on the field, he knew what all 10 guys were doing and if he wasn't on the field he could stand on the sideline and watch and know what all 11 guys were supposed to be doing. And if something wasn't right he knew what needed to be addressed. There are only 32 in the country. There are more senators than there are NFL head coaches. The short version: he is amongst the absolute elite in his profession. I would label him as being as somebody that has climbed the track very honorably and very enthusiastically. He's the best.”

Bradley will be officially introduced at a press conference tomorrow morning. The Jaguars had the 30th ranked defense in the league this past season.
