Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Sanford in Fargo is putting visitor restrictions in place because influenza continues to wreak havoc in North Dakota.
Only immediate family members over 18 can visit patients. This restriction is in place at the main medical center in downtown, Sanford South University and the Roger Maris Cancer Center. Clinics are not impacted right now.
Joan Cook, Director of Prevention & Infection Control: “We have been monitoring the situation over a period of weeks and we have been seeing a higher prevalence every week we haven't really seen that peak or go down.”
There's no time limit set on the restriction. It'll be lifted when the flu season begins to subside.
