Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - NDSU says it's investigating the legal concern of a recent grant it received.
The $1.2 million, three-year grant was from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The money was for implementing a program with Planned Parenthood, to prevent teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. It was targeted toward Fargo youth, from 14 to 19 years old.
NDSU says lawyers noticed a concern that could go against North Dakota law.
Laura McDaniel, Asst. Vice President: "As soon as we discovered there was a legal problem, we froze the funds immediately, and will continue to do so until there is a possible resolution."
The University won't offer further comment.
