Fergus Falls band outpaces fundraising goal for inaugural parade trip

Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - The Fergus Falls Marching Band is headed for President Obama's inauguration with money to spare.

    This is the 2nd time the Fergus Falls Marching band has performed for President Obama.

Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) - The Fergus Falls Marching Band is headed for President Obama's inauguration with money to spare.

The band hoped to raise $60,000 for its trip to Washington. It raised $67,000, and one major fundraiser hasn't even been counted yet.

The band will leave Thursday afternoon. Much of the money will go for transportation, hotels, and food.

It will be the 2nd time the Fergus Falls Marching band performs for President Obama.
