Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) -- The council had a 2 hour back and forth discussion on the bluestem lease agreement with Fargo Public schools.
At one point, members went into an executive session over a threat of litigation. The City manager said in the public meeting that the issue was resolved.
As part of Fargo schools taking over the lease for bluestem, the council has to approve its budget each year, and that was voted on tonight. But the lease agreement was tabled.
Some council members want more benefits for Moorhead students, others thought the proposed lease was just fine.
Council member, Mike Hulett, says, "here we sit squabbling with another public body about something that can be resolved in about 2 minutes."
Fargo schools is set to lease two-thirds of the city's land at bluestem.
