Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - There are plenty of smiles these days over at Memorial Auditorium, and that's thanks to the great start by the Concordia men's basketball team. Rich Glas' Cobbers are 6-2 in the MIAC, alone in 2nd and winners of six straight.

This is a young group with just four seniors, but they have seemed to gel at just the right time with the heart of conference play coming.

Ebo Nana-Kweson- Concordia Senior Guard: “Guys are stepping up. We like to share the ball and it really doesn't matter who's doing the scoring. It seems like every night someone is stepping up and scoring points. The whole team is playing defense and we're all sharing the ball. That's the difference.”

Andrew Martinson – Concordia Senior Guard: “We're just sticking together, playing good basketball. We’re really moving the ball around right now and playing good defense. I think our defense is really creating for our offense for the most part. We’re playing well together.”

The Cobbers host Hamline tomorrow at 3. The Cobber ladies also are on a tear. They've won 5 straight.
