Update on Dilworth police chief asked to step down

Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) – Tonight we bring you new information on allegations against Dilworth's Police Chief.

Chad Olson, Dilworth Mayor: “I want to make a motion to hire the Pemberton Law Firm to conduct an investigation into the allegations against Chief Ebert.”

The Dilworth City Council just wrapped up a closed doors meeting for what they call "preliminary consideration of allegations" against Chief Josh Ebert.

Last month Ebert's officers introduced a letter to city council members voicing their lack of confidence in Ebert's abilities. They even asked him to step down or have the city force him to.

But Ebert denied the claims and said he would continue to work together with the rest of the department.
