Police responding to report of bank robbery in south Fargo

FARGO – Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at about 1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Bank at 2627 S. University Drive.

FARGO – Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at about 1:45 p.m. at Cornerstone Bank at 2627 S. University Drive.

The suspect displayed a handgun, and police were searching for a vehicle that reportedly fled the scene, according to dispatch radio traffic.

Authorities describe the vehicle as a two-door, red hatchback with scrapes and dings and black pinstripes on the fender and rocker-panel areas.

Police have cordoned off the bank with yellow caution tape as the investigation continues.
