Customers are stocking up on gold in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Customers are flocking to a Gold Silver Exchange in Grand Forks, stocking up on precious metals.

The store's owner says with the total U-S debt at more than 15 trillion dollars, many worry about the declining value of a dollar. He says people are spending thousands buying gold and silver.

Jerry Breyer, Gold Silver Exchange Owner, says, "People are really concerned about what the dollar is really going to be worth in the future. There's going to come a time when that money, what we consider money, paper money, is going to be basically dead."

Breyer says investing in metals is a good way to prepare for an uncertain financial future.
