Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- With a big football weekend ahead, the Bison at noon and the vikings at 7, bars in the metro are preparing for big crowds all day long.
For all the green and yellow painted throughout town,
Kari Bitz: "Go, Bison."
Most of it can be found in here.
Kari Bitz/Bison Fan: "I'm getting very excited for tomorrow.I feel like the only person in Fargo who's not at the game."
This is Bison territory. stomping grounds for games.
"We have plans to go watch it at a bar in town. We are going to get in line about eight in the morning, get some hot cocoa ready and make sure that we get a good seat inside."
Kari Bitz: "I think it's going to be crazy."
Things are going to get rowdy.
Charley Young/Bison Fan: "I think it's going to be pretty chaotic, I think Texas is going to be pretty chaotic, might be kind of a slice of Frisco in Fargo tomorrow."
But with two big games back to back, it's bound to be a long day of drinking."
Laura Larson: "We are as ready as we can be."
Plans to get going begin bright and early.
Laura Larson: "Probably fill up by ten o'clock."
And it's going to be packed.
Bars, just like The Bison Turf, are tripling their staff and stepping up their security.
Laura Larson/bartender: "We have people watching. The bartenders are always making sure they are not over-serving anyone or we've got our door guys taking care of the situation too if anybody may have had enough to drink, we tell them to call a cab, call a friend, have em call and pick them up."
So while the green and yellow work to smear the other team,
Kari Bitz: "Wear all the bison gear you can, and just cheer as loud and you possibly can. I hope they can hear us down in Frisco."
We talked to different bars across the Fargo-Moorhead area, most will be adding additional security at their doors.
