Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- Local High school students are preparing for the trip of a lifetime.

The Fergus Falls High School band rehearsed this morning as they prepare to march in the Presidential Inauguration Parade. The band also performed in 2008, but these students were middle school-aged at the time.

Now, it's their turn. According to band director Scott Kummrow, it's their traditional approach that sets them apart.

Band director, Scott Kummrow, says, "A lot of schools now have gone to what we would see more as a field show on the street. And we've stuck to very traditional marching where we march in a block formation and we play patriotic music and marches."

The band has had less than 30 days to prepare and raise money
