West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A West Fargo man who lived next door to the three children he molested, even after he was convicted, is now out on probation.
The children's mother says she fears he could eventually move back into their neighborhood.
This is where Jennifer Silverman's children lived right next door to the man found guilty of molesting them for months after he posted bail. Now, a year and a half later, he has served his time and is out on supervised probation.
Ned Vandyke served 18 months at the Jamestown Correctional facility on 3 counts of Gross Sexual Imposition.
As part of his 5-year probation, he must stay at least 400 yards from the Silverman family.
Vandyke has moved. He is currently registered at a house in Fargo, but his family still owns this home right next door to the Silvermans.
Jennifer and her husband Keith are concerned that once his probation is up. He could move back in.
Jennifer: "For the kids, they've already been through so much. To think that they might have to face him again on a daily basis, it almost seems like too much to ask of a person. Especially kids, who have already been traumatized."
Probation begins with Vandyke's release. Jennifer says she is considering a restraining order when that ends.
Vandyke is registered for life as a high-risk sex offender.
