Hawley, MN (WDAY TV) -- Crews battled a fire at the Hawley landfill today..

Workers were trying to move around trash, hoping to smother the flames when this bulldozer came tumbling over. For over an hour, crews tried to get it back up right.

Eventually it payed off, the bulldozer flipped back over, and no one was hurt. Officials say the only real danger today, was the fire.

Tim Griffin, Clay County Deputy, says, "the fire could burn for a long time because it's a landfill where they pile garbage on top of garbage on top of garbage and the fire can just go that deep so that's why they have to continuly pull it apart by layer by layer to put the fire out."

So far, the cause of the fire is unknown.
