Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Doctors across the metro area say this could be one of the worst flu seasons they've seen in a long time.

Families are packing walk-in clinics and hospitals, a majority with flu like symptoms. The main signs they're showing: high fevers, body aches, and coughs.

So far, flu case numbers are comparable to those during the 2009 H1N1 epidemic. Doctors say the best thing to keep healthy is make sure to get the vaccine and focus on prevention.

Dr. Kari Sinnink, Essentia Walk-In Clinic: “The biggest thing is to wash your hands after having contact with other people or eating foods and things like that.”

Some hospitals in the twin cities area are at max capacity with flu cases.
