Fergus Falls, MN (WDAY TV) -- Quick thinking on the part of Fergus Falls police officers has sent a Montana man to jail, and spared those officers a possible lethal situation.
It was a simple call from a concerned citizen in Fergus Falls. A man who appeared to have his car stuck in the snow near a neighborhood's dead end street. When it was over, a good samaritan call resulted in the recovery of a loaded handgun, and drugs.
In the Otter Tail County jail tonight is 25-year old Sean You-pee of Montana. Fergus Falls police officers offered to give You-pee a ride after his car got stuck.
Protocol requires officers to search anyone getting in the squad car, and it was then that police found a loaded 9-millimeter handgun, meth, and drug paraphernalia. No officer was injured during the arrest.
You-pee will appear on the weapons and drug charges Wednesday in Otter Tail County District Court.
