Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- Children living in Minnesota may have a safer ride on the school bus, beginning tomorrow.

A new Minnesota state law takes effect requiring all newly manufactured school buses to have crossing control arms. The arms make it so that students can only walk where a driver can see them.

They're attached to the front bumper of the vehicles. Many school districts statewide already use them, but the law does not require old buses to have the arms installed.
