Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- It was a thriller from start to finish in Minneapolis today, and with the Vikings 37-34 victory over the Packers, the team is headed to playoffs.
With so much on the line, Fans from both sides packed into Wild Hogs in Grand Forks to catch the game. Game day brings a wild atmosphere into Wild Hogs.
Julie Solheim/Vikings Fan: "Go Vikings. Bleed purple."
Dan Samson/Packers Fan: "Go Pack."
Fans on both sides say their team has what it takes to win.
Ben Iversen/Vikings Fan: "35, 27 Minnesota."
Dan: "31/28 Green Bay."
Ben: "It's always been a huge rivalry."
And that it has...jokes flew back and forth as these fans from opposite sides sat at the same table.
Julie: "Maybe you shouldn't spend so much time eating cheese and double check the stats."
Dan: "Nice horns."
The rivalry has a special meaning for both, who each grew up watching football.
Julie: "It means a lot to me to watch the game. My dad would always buy me all my Vikings gear as a kid."
Dan: "I'm an original cheese head. It's part of me."
Although the Viking's Adrian Peterson was just nine yards shy of breaking the single season rushing record, even the cheese head himself thought he would pull it off.
Dan: "He's a really good running back, I got to give him all the credit for that."
Julie: "He will be MVP this year. He's the best running back there is."
Julie: "They just got another field goal and there ahead 13 to nothing."
Dan: "Cry in my beer."
Julie: "This is wonderful."
Dan: It's just a lot of fun to come down here.
The two teams will face off again next week, but this time in Green Bay for the first round of play-offs.
