Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Bison basketball fans are hoping for one more Christmas present tonight, when NDSU hosts South Dakota State in a battle of the top 2 preseason favorites to win the Summit League. The teams enter with a combined record of 20 wins and 7 losses.

Making it even more special is the fact that it will be the last trip to the BSA for all-american Nate Wolters.

The St. Cloud product was a Bison killer last season, he scored 30 in one game, and 27 in the other leading the Jacks to a regular season sweep of NDSU. But, NDSU has been terrific defensively this season and hope that will be the key to slowing down number three.

NDSU Junior Forward, Marshall Bjorklund, says, "He creates shot's for others, he creates his own shots, obviously that will be our main focus to slow him down."

Sual Phillips, NDSU Head Coach, says, "Wolters is top top 25 kid in America in a lot of ways. If you look at what he does for his team he is more involved with his team than Mbakwe or Zeller, and those two could take a back seat for a couple positions and those teams will still be ok but Wolters is just so involved in everything that it makes him. I would be surprised if he wasn't playing in the NBA, next year, period."

We'll have highlights and reaction tonight at 10.
