If anyone is still on the fence, because of money on going to Texas,

a group of students showed us you can make this mini vacation, highly economical.

Frisco may look like a home game come next Saturday, 19-thousand fans fill the Fargodome and there will be 13-thousand at the championship game.

Godfrey: "In the 3 years I've been here I've only missed 2 home games."

Ian Godfrey a Junior at NDSU is making the drive down with 7 buddies, calculating every detail, they have a vacation suited for a college student's budget.

Godfrey: "Compared to the packages offered we checked expedia, travelocity, individual hotel websites and at the end of the day that with the price of gas it turned out to be about half the price.."

Here's the route, The group takes off Thursday evening. First stop is spending the night in Omaha, after an early wake up they'll finish the 14 hour drive down to Frisco.

The budget per person is:

-$50-dollars for gas.

-$52-for the game ticket

-$10-bucks for the pep rally ticket.

-3 nights at Hampton Hotels is $66..

-And $100 dollars for food and beverages -- The 8 guys think they can do this for less than $300 per person.

Godfrey: "Can't do spring break for that, I wish I could do spring break for that price."

Sherri Schmidt with the Alumni foundation says there are others not sparing that expense. 4 charter planes will take fans down, that package deal for flight and hotel room runs around 1,400 dollars. The bus package plan is near $600.

Schmidt: "I know there's a group that has rented a large limo and they're driving down and will have a driver on site all weekend so they planned ahead and are ready to go down and enjoy everything.."

35-hundred tickets have already been sold for the pep rally, which will be going on at this time next Friday. The alumni foundation even booked a live band for the event.
