According to the State Patrol, 82-year-old Arthur Dove was driving a van that collided with a semi at the intersection of U.S. Highway 71 and State Highway 9 at about 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
The West Central Tribune reports Dove and his 77-year-old wife, Elaine Dove, were killed.
The truck driver — a 63-year-old Hector man — was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was in critical condition Thursday.
Both vehicles ended up in a ditch, with the semi coming to rest against some trees.
