Gas prices are going down

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Think of it as Christmas present to the people of Fargo Moorhead. Gas prices are going down.

They've dropped 3.4 cents from last week, making the average cost 3 dollars a gallon. That's lower than the national average of 3 dollars and 24 cents a gallon.

Petroleum analysts say the drop sounds promising compared to recent prices.

However, those prices are setting an all-time high.for the most expensive gas average on Christmas Day.

And past research shows prices usually go up between Christmas and mid-January.
