Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Stores lining the streets in downtown Fargo are trying to keep people coming in for last minute Christmas shopping to support local businesses.

Managers at One World on Main avenue say they've had a good turnout so far this holiday season. And, they expect that to continue tomorrow, with people still out hunting for the perfect presents.

They depend on local customer sales to stay in business. One World is attracting shoppers by offering products you can't find at chain retail stores, like locally made art and clothing.

Jessica Markusen, One World Asst. Manager, says, "we have handmade mittens and things like that, which obviously is a one of a kind thing and it supports local artists in the area and obviously for small businesses, to get the support from the community is really important and really helps us and is essential for our business."

Most stores downtown are open Christmas Eve, for limited hours.
