The Williston Herald reports that the city has about $434,000 in bad debt this year, with the bulk of it coming from unpaid ambulance bills.
The amount of bad debt has tripled in the city since 2008.
Uncollected municipal court fines and fees totaled more than $60,000 this year, while water, sewer and garbage bad debt is just more than $5,500.
