Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- There haven't been many silent Saturdays in North Fargo the last few months, but it's quiet there tonight.

NDSU's surge for back-to-back national championships has taken a holiday break.

The team practiced today, but will be off now until Wednesday. Time management will be key the next two weeks as NDSU prepares for Sam Houston State. And the good thing for the players and coaches is that they've done this before.

Brock Jensen says, " It's up to our coaches to control the times we practice. Are coaches know the winning formula and we'd never second guess them. We trust what they do."

Grant Olson says, "It's definitely a lot of fun. It's nice that we had this experience last year. We know what to expect with everything. We definitely know that it's not easy practicing now, especially when everyone else is off. Everyone wants to be at home and be with their families a little bit. But, being in the national championship is pretty awesome. So, we'll take it."

And a reminder as we count you down to the FCS title game, make sure you join us January 4th at 9pm for a special one hour long look at the 2012 Bison football team, recapping all 14 games and previewing the championship from Frisco.
