A 17-year-old pregnant girl is shot in the foot in West Fargo

West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Fargo man spent the night at the Cass County Jail, after shooting a 17-year-old pregnant girl in the foot.

26-year-old Cody Pankowski is charged for Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Reckless Endangerment. The shooting happened about 2:30 this morning, at 1009 Brookwood Lane. That's in West Fargo.

Police say Pankowski was spending the night with the family of the 17-year-old, after he had been at the bar drinking. He was carrying a loaded gun in the waistband of his pants.

As Pankowski took out the gun to unload it, it went off. The girl was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
