Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Fargo police want businesses to be on the look out for counterfeit bills.

In the last week, police say they've received two reports of someone trying to use fake 100 dollar bills. The first happened at a store inside of West Acres..and the second at a bar around that same area.

In both police say the suspect is a white male, who fled before police arrived. They want merchants to report anything they believe to be suspicious.

Mark Lykken, Fargo Police Sgt.,says, "when the officer arrived at the scene, he said that the bills felt thick and just didn't feel right. That's the advice we give to any merchants, if a bill doesn't feel right, it probably isn't."

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the police department.
