North Dakota December 1st potato stocks up over the year
FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Potato stocks in North Dakota are up 29 percent over the year.

The latest figures from the Agriculture Department show that growers, dealers and processors held 16.8 million hundredweight of potatoes in storage on Dec. 1. Current stocks represent 67 percent of production, down from 69 percent in 2011.
Russets account for 67 percent of the total, the same as last year.
