Level III sex offender moves to Moorhead

MOORHEAD – Police here are notifying the public of a high-risk sex offender who moved to the city last week.

Francis Clifford Clauthier, 66, is a Level III predatory offender living in the 700 block of Eighth Street South.

Clauthier has a history of sexual contact with adult female victims through physical force and the use of a weapon. He was convicted in 1994 of gross sexual imposition in Grand Forks County, N.D.

Police will not be holding a public notification meeting about Clauthier.
