West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- It's rare when a wrestling match has this much buzz this early in the season, but that's what makes tonight's showdown in West Fargo special, as the state champion Packers host Moorhead.

Our dream matchup however will not happen as the Spuds' Chase Morlock will not wrestle Preston Lehmann, the two state champion grapplers are at two

different weights, they have both wrestled at 195, but Lehmann has went down a class this year..despite that, it still shapes up as a great duel.

Skip Toops, Moorhead Head Coach, says, "If you just look at the individuals we have, the talent we have. This team has the ability to be the best team we've had since the 80s. Moorhead hasn't qualified a team to the state tournament since 1981 and we think we have the guys on this team to do that."

Chase Morlock says, "Our team's looking pretty tough right now. We're pretty solid all the way up and down the weight classes. I think we can make a statement at sections this year and make a state appearance."

Kayle Dangerud, West Fargo Head Coach, says, "This is where we want to be. We don't want to be an underdog. We spent a lot of years being the underdog. We're trying to get to the point where we're continually on top and we're shooting for bigger and better goals out there. No matter how good we are, we can always get better."

7pm start tonight in West Fargo.
