Hornbacher's donates hams to the Salvation Army

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- This is the season of giving and a holiday tradition lives on, thanks to Hornbacher's and Cloverdale foods.

They donated 17-hundred hams to the Salvation Army. Those hams, valued at 30 thousand dollars, will find their way into Christmas food boxes feeding 13 hundred families.

The Salvation Army says it would be a challenge without this generous donation.

Capt. Bill Mealy with the Salvation Army says,"without this, this would be a huge expense to the Salvation army and thru this generous donation we can help make a more complete meal and serve the people so they can sit down together at Christmas time and have that meal together."

This is the 5th year Hornbachers and Cloverdale have teamed up to donate the hams.
