Hein verbally commits to Northern Iowa

Perham, MN (WDAY TV) -- Perham high school has a recent history of producing outstanding quarterbacks that go on to play at the college level. Marcus Hendrickson at UND and Ben Buchholz at Minnesota Duluth are the two most recent examples.

Perham, MN (WDAY TV) -- Perham high school has a recent history of producing outstanding quarterbacks that go on to play at the college level. Marcus Hendrickson at UND and Ben Buchholz at Minnesota Duluth are the two most recent examples.

Today, Jordan Hein kept that trend going, verbally committing to play his college football at Northern Iowa.

Hein was a 3-year starter at quarterback for Perham and holds most offensive school records, including total offense, touchdowns and points. But it's his all around athletic ability that wowed. In fact, he was generally recruited, not as a quarterback, but as an "athlete." who they'll figure out a position for later. Hein, who was first team all state, also had an offer from UND
