West Fargo High School gets 15 donated guitars

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A foundation started by guitar legend James Burton has donated 15 guitars to West Fargo High School.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A foundation started by guitar legend James Burton has donated 15 guitars to West Fargo High School.

Guitar instructor Mark Berntson tells The Forum newspaper that the instruments from the James Burton Foundation are worth as much as $1,800. They are three-quarter size guitars that are meant for beginners.

The James Burton Foundation aims to encourage students to take up music. It's named for the guitarist who has played with everyone from Elvis Presley to Johnny Cash and is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
