The National Association of State Foresters recognized Larry Kotchman recently for his more than 40 years in the forestry field as a advocate for state and federal forestry programs and policies.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented at the organization's annual meeting in Cheyenne, Wyo.
The awards are presented annually to one or two deserving individuals who contributed significantly to forestry over an extended period of time. It's given for efforts towards state and private forestry at the national level but not recognition for state or local work.
