Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- For the area hungry, Santa wears a blue vest.

This morning, Walmart donated 90-thousand dollars to the Great Plains Food bank. That money will help feed the hungry this holiday season.

The Great Plains Food Bank first opened in 1893. It distributed 190-thousand pounds of food.

Great Plains delivered more than 9-million pounds to more than 100 communities across North Dakota and in Clay County.

Andrea Hochholter, with the Jeremiah Program, says, "what is so, so impactful about this gift is what it says about the community in Fargo-Moorhead. They recognize the Jeremiah Program as an organization that needs to be here, for these thousands of single mothers to transform their lives."

Great plains food bank serves 280-programs.
