Warroad, MN (WDAY TV) - A Warroad man faces numerous charges after leaving his passengers in the freezing cold and leading police on a high speed chase on I-29.

44 year old Scott Boothman faces three felonies and a DUI charge. His bail is set at $50,000.

Boothman's girlfriend called 911 from an interstate exit near Grafton, saying she and her daughter were standing outside freezing in 30 below zero weather.

Officers located Boothman, who then led officers on a chase, with speeds reaching 100 miles per hour. He was eventually arrested.

Lauren Wild, Walsh Co. Sheriff : "You involve speeds like that in a vehicle, you involve people being told to get out of the car in that kind of cold it show a kind of tremendous disregard for anyone. Except the person giving the orders and that is sad.”

The woman says Boothman threatened to kill her.
