Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Charges are now filed against a truck driver, six months after a fatal Fargo crash.

55 year old James Toner of Long Prairie, Minnesota is charged with manslaughter and aggravated reckless driving.

It's from the June accident that shut down 25th street for hours.

29 year old Jason Viestenz died in the accident. His 10 year old son was on the back of his motorcycle and was injured.

Authorities say the complexity of the case is why charges took this long, reconstructing the crash took a lot of hours to answer the needed questions.

Lt. Joel Vettel, Fargo Police: “Was there issues of some sort of negligence, what would the average and reasonable person do in these types of circumstances, there's just a number of scenes that cause it to be a little bit more complex.”

Most of the accident was caught on a traffic camera.
