Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - January rings in a new year and with it a new MATBus schedule.
Some MATBus routes will be extended an hour. Instead of 9:15, riders can hop on the bus at 10:15 and still make a downtown connection.
Key routes in both Moorhead and Fargo are included, like stops at NDSU, the West Acres Mall, Kmart, and stops on North Broadway.
MATBus says it gives people a chance to shop later, or catch a late movie. The extra hour costs an extra $60,000 a year.
Jim Gilmour, Fargo City Planner: “The federal aid has gone up a bit, ridership went up, state money went up a bit, all that together provided the money to do these additional hours."
In January, go to MATBus.com for a list of the extended routes.
