Police investigate a car fire outside of a Grand Forks restaurant

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Firefighters are still trying to figure out why a vehicle suddenly started on fire in the Taco Bell parking lot.
Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Firefighters are still trying to figure out why a vehicle suddenly started on fire in the Taco Bell parking lot.
It happened about 4 at the Grand Forks restaurant. There were no injuries.
Firefighters say this type of fire can be common with cold temps, and are more dangerous than house fires.
Capt. Jeff Laskowske with the Grand Forks Fire Dept. says, "Crews got on scene and found the compartment area, the drivers compartment area, fully engulfed in fire. The owner and his pet are alright."
The investigation is ongoing.
