Fire destroys a barn full of turkeys in Minnesota

Melrose, MN (WDAY TV) -- Fire has destroyed a barn, killing thousands of young turkeys in central Minnesota.
A passer-by reported the blaze near Melrose. Authorities say the barn, containing 17 thousand turkeys, is a total loss. The owner estimates the loss at a half-million dollars.
Firefighters from Melrose and Sauk Centre put out the fire. The cause isn't known.
