WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Williston police say counterfeit money is showing up in the city.
WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) — Williston police say counterfeit money is showing up in the city.
Police Detective Cory Collings tells the Williston Herald that it's a problem that surfaces partly because of the high number of customers passing through the oil patch boom town.
Police say several bills were discovered by area businesses and banks last week. Most were bogus $50 and $100 bills.
Collings says the quality of the fake bills varies.
