21-year-old charged with felony for shoplifting at Dilworth Walmart

Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) - A man accused of shoplifting in Dilworth faces felony charges for using a back pack to steal items.

Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) - A man accused of shoplifting in Dilworth faces felony charges for using a back pack to steal items.

21-year-old Antionio Ramirez allegedly used a backpack lined with tin-foil to take items from Walmart.

Police say Ramirez stuffed about $133 worth of merchandise inside of the bag, using the tin foil to try to get around the store's security systems.

Usually, stolen items of this value would result in a misdemeanor.

But in this case, the bag is considered a burglary tool, making it a felony.

Felony shoplifting is punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
